“Starting something bigger than yourself”

Hirsch’s Meadowdale recently hosted a networking session entitled “Starting something bigger than yourself”.

Roarke Lessing, station manager of Edenvale Radio, was the guest speaker.

Lessing shared his journey with the business fraternity, on how he made his way to the top by following his dreams.

His struggle was compounded by having to deal with Attention Deficiency Disorder (ADD). This complicated focusing on the smaller day to day tasks.

He then made the decision to start something bigger than himself.

“I had a dream and it was bigger than me, which eventually led to my success,” said Lessing.

Lessing said those who are looking to boost their business, should consider networking.

Brigitte Thysse, PR and marketing officer of Hirsch’s, said networking is important as people need people.

“If you are not experiencing enough opportunities coming your way, you need to consider networking as a priority going forward. It is a very powerful marketing tool,” said Thysse.
