I recently read this book and was so impressed by the storyline that I am dying to read the sequel.

Thrown of Glass is about Celaena Sardothien, the most famous assassin in all of Adarlan (talk about empowering woman). That’s all good and well until she gets caught because someone betrayed her, someone close to her.
She is forced to work in the salt mines of Endovier, a slave camp for all prisoners of war. Nothing changes for an entire year, until one day, she receives two unexpected visitors.
The Captain of the Guard, Chaol Westfall, and the Crown Prince of Adarlan, Dorian, have come to call, but obviously not for a social visit. Who would visit a prisoner?
Dorian offers her two choices: Fight in a competition to become the king’s champion, or die right there in the salt mines.
Celaena chooses her only chance at freedom and agrees to fight.
Soon after, she arrives at the palace, but she has to keep her identity a secret. Now, for the most famous assassin in all of Adarlan, that is hard for her to do. I mean, would you keep your identity a secret from everyone except the two people who came to fetch you? I wouldn’t want to.
During the beginning of the competition, things start to go amiss inside the palace walls. Champions start winding up dead and rumours are that one of the other fighters are cutting down the opponents. The markings surrounding the bodies make Celaena a little too curious.
With a heart of ice, a will of steel, Celaena Sardothien is beautiful, deadly and destined for greatness.
