First princess to be crowned Miss SA tomorrow

Ziphozakhe Zokufa will be crowned as the new Miss South Africa on Wednesday, December 17; this after Rolene Strauss was crowned Miss World on Sunday.

Eyewitness News (EWN) reported, “Miss South Africa spokesperson Claudia Henkel says Zokufa will take over the reins and duties of the outgoing Miss South Africa this week at a glitzy event in Sandton.”

Henkel was quoted by EWN, “We are honoured and proud to announce that the new Miss South Africa, Ziphozakhe Zokufa, will be crowned at the Maslow Hotel.”

Zokufa, who was the first runner up, will own the crown until the new Miss South Africa is chosen in March next year.

This gives her an opportunity to represent the country at the Miss Universe pageant in Miami, Florida next month.

Strauss has thanked the country and her parents for their support.

“Thank you very much for all the support and I absolutely love you and this crown is dedicated to all of you,” she was quoted by EWN.
