Free suave live music festival to mark Day of Reconciliation

Music lovers in Ekurhuleni can look forward to an afternoon of smooth sounds from the most exciting, unsigned live bands this December, all without having to pay a cent, courtesy of the Puisano Live Music showcases.

The family picnic-style music festival will take place at the OR Tambo Cultural Precinct, in Wattville, from 2pm on the Day of Reconciliation (December 16).

The event will feature an array of talented bands currently touring the province in music showcases hosted at different venues through the Puisano Live Music programme, an endeavour of the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation.

Bands that are slated to entertain will include CJ and Friends, Native 2120, Mkizwana Quintent and the explosive talents of the vintage Kevin Maduna Quintent.

A number of local bands will also feature, including the talents of Wattville’s own Black Mok.

Entrance to the event is free.

Cooler boxes will be allowed, however bottles and weapons are prohibited from the venue.
