A she-larious show at Emperors

Laughter was the order of the evening as the UK’s leading female impersonator Ceri Dupree performed and entertained guests with his one-man diva show at Emperors Palace on Thursday, March 6.

Dupree mesmerised the audience as he changed from one outfit to the next, performing hits from iconic prima donnas.

Songs performed included Rehab by Amy Winehouse, and Simply the Best by Tina Turner.

He made a total of 11 costume changes which he described as a military operation.

Each glitzy costume was accompanied by flashy hair pieces and make-up to match.

Dupree’s silhouette could be seen while he applied his make-up and changed his outfits between acts behind a see-through screen that was set-up on stage.

His show was a combination of song, dance and hilarious comedy.

Comedy included poking fun at the guests, making jokes of their outfits, names and even their age.

Dupree sings a song to close off the show with no make-up, no wigs, and is dressed in just a suit.

“When I asked Dolly Parton for advice for a show she said, make them laugh, make them cry, and scare the hell out of them,” he said.

The show will run from Wednesdays to Fridays at Emperors Palace until March 29.
