Hino showcases innovative solar-powered truck at Clover’s driver skills competition

Hino South Africa participated in Clover’s driver skills competition, showcasing its latest innovation: a solar-powered truck.

Hino South Africa recently showcased its innovative technology at Clover’s driver skills competition.

The event featured over 700 drivers from 19 Clover depots across South Africa and was a platform for Hino to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable transportation.

One of the competition’s highlights was the debut of Clover’s new flagship vehicle, the Hino 500 2829 6×4 freight carrier. This truck has solar panels that power its refrigeration unit, eliminating the need for a traditional diesel engine. This zero-emission technology, developed by Transport Cooling Africa and Mobius Energy, is a significant step towards reducing the environmental impact of transportation.

Hino is always at the forefront of technology development to ensure sustainable transportation and this Hino 500 with its solar-powered refrigeration unit is a testament to its commitment to innovate and reduce its carbon footprint.

The competition also served as a platform for Hino to engage with its customers and showcase its range of trucks. Hino’s participation in the event demonstrates its dedication to supporting the transportation industry and promoting driver excellence.
