Indulge in the Tanqueray Almond Cocktail

The Tanqueray Almond Cocktail is an easy-to-make drink that blends Tanqueray's botanical depth with the rich, nutty taste of almonds.

One gin that has remained a favourite among connoisseurs throughout the ages is Tanqueray.

Known for its crisp, juniper-forward profile, Tanqueray provides a perfect base for a wide range of cocktails, including the classic Tanqueray and Tonic, the refreshing Tanqueray Gimlet, and the zesty Tanqueray Negroni.

Today, we explore a unique and sophisticated concoction: the Tanqueray Almond Cocktail. This drink combines the botanical complexity of Tanqueray with the concentrated almond-oil notes of Disaronno Amaretto.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Tanqueray Gin
  • 10ml Disaronno Amaretto (although there are other fine almond liqueurs worth exploring)
  • 20ml fresh lemon juice
  • 10ml simple syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • Ice
  • Lemon twist or cherries (for garnish)

Method

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine Tanqueray gin, amaretto, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and a dash of Angostura bitters. Fill the shaker with ice.
  2. Shake the mixture vigorously for about 20 seconds.
  3. Discard the ice from your cocktail glass and strain the mixture into the chilled glass.
  4. Garnish with a lemon twist and serve immediately.
