Is Beyoncé South African? That is according to a Durban woman who claims to be her mother.
A shocking story did the rounds on social media on Wednesday – Beyoncé was born in Durban!
According to a Durban woman, the Grammy award-winning superstar was born Busisiwe in 1984.
Before you drop your jaw and choke, this was just a parody by Durban-born UK based comedian Thenjiwe Mosely who shared her latest video titled ‘Beyoncé was born in Durban.. Her mother reveals’ on her YouTube account.
In her video, she claims ‘Busisiwe’ was given to an American couple who visited the hotel where her ‘mother’ worked.
She says she does not want Beyoncé’s mother, but rather for her daughter to return back home with her husband to have a traditional Zulu ceremony.
