Market@TheSheds reopens in the city

Market entices people and tourists back to the city centre.

012Central is the place to be every last Saturday of the month in the Pretoria CBD.

The Market@TheSheds returned to the inner city of Pretoria with the aim to entice people and tourists to the city centre.

Designers and antique collectors showcased their stock, such as furniture and also stallholders with fresh and original food, design objects, vintage clothing, fashion, crafts and live music.

The Market@TheSheds at 385 Helen Joseph Street starts at 10:00 until 15:00.

Belinda Meyer said: “The aim of Market@TheSheds’ aim is to tempt people to visit Pretoria’s CBD and experience the city and what it can offer them.

“The majority of designers and collectors are young people portraying their talents.”

Customers who visited the market on Saturday enjoyed live music and had fun outdoors as well as indoors,” said Meyer.

It is described as a modern African experience and combines the best of creative and talented local entrepreneurs, designers, artists and musicians.

The first market was hosted in October 2014. Since it had various locations in the city centre, but now Market@TheSheds permanently backs this wonderful, creative space. There are plenty safe parking with direct access to the market area.
