Researchers in Colorado have found a way for people with hearing impairments to hear through an electrode-packed retainer, bypassing the ear altogether.

Researchers in Colorado have developed a hearing device that works through your mouth.

The technology relies on a Bluetooth-enabled earpiece to detect sound and send electrical impulses to an electrode-packed retainer that consumers press their tongue against to hear.
