We’ve read, and loved, Daisy Jones & The Six. And Malibu Rising. So we rushed off and got a copy of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
Well, we would, wouldn’t we? Thanks to Book TikTok, Taylor Jenkins Reid’s 2017 book suddenly became the book-of-the-month. Netflix picked up on it too … and no wonder. It’s all old school glam Hollywood … the perfect weekend read. Reclusive Hollywood icon Evelyn Hugo is ready to tell her story. And quite some story it is. Glamorous, scandalous, ruthless ambition, forbidden love, heartache. And the seven husbands, of course. She gets Monique, an unknown magazine reporter to write the story … a story which intersects with Monique’s own somewhat tragic life. It’s a heartbreaker … with a sensational twist.
