A global ranking of the Top 100 most loved destinations in the world in 2021 sees four local spots ranking in the upper half of the list. Knysna stands proud at number 19, followed closely by Stellenbosch at number 23, while Hermanus ranked at 41 and Cape Town claimed the 54th place.

Stellenbosch in particular is renowned for its vast wining and dining options along with great outdoor activities, a vibrant history and culture and, of course, the stunning scenery.

Tourism Sentiment Index (TSI), a travel data intelligence solution created by destination marketing agency Destination Think, analysed over 1.6 billion online conversations and articles about 21,330 global destinations to create the list.
