Ravensklip beauty queen Shanique Smith, a Grade 10 Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen learner, was recently announced as a Miss Teenager South Africa semi-finalist.

“She is a soft-hearted child who is determined to help others. She doesn’t want to win the competition for the fame; she wants to win because she believes it will help her get donations that will assist others.

“She is particularly passionate about helping children and the elderly,” said her mother, Michelle Senekal.
