TV weekly must watch

Start your week with the seventh and final season of a comedy-drama series about a woman’s experiences at a minimum-security federal prison; watch a sitcom based on the life of Dwayne Johnson; or get ready for a local adventure dating competition where 16 contestants compete to find love and win R100 000.

In Orange Is the New Black final season, a recently paroled Piper tries to get back on her feet while life in Litchfield, as corrupt as ever, goes on without her. Starts July 27 on Netflix.

Even the world’s biggest star started out small. Young Rock is a sitcom based on the life of Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock), going back to his roots as a ten-year-old in Hawaii, his high school years in Pennsylvania, and his University years in Miami, all within the (as yet) fictional framework of the actor and pro wrestler running as a candidate in the 2032 US Presidential Election. Start tonight on Showmax.

The Longest Date is back! So get ready for the most high-octane, extreme dating competition on TV. Sixteen adventurous singles will go on an epic journey to face their fears in gruelling challenges and ultimately a journey to find love and win R100 000. Starts tonight at 9pm on SABC 3.
