What’s for Dinner … Fasta Pasta

Back at work today and too busy to think about supper? We’ve got you covered with a delicious pasta that’s ready in 30 minutes.

Quick, easy, tasty. What more could you ask for during the week? Some tips from our cook … If you prefer, take the cooked sausage meat out of it’s casing before adding it to the sauce. You can also use boerewors or Italian sausage. Want more veg? Add peas to the sauce and cook for a few minutes before serving. This recipe serves four.

What you’ll need: 1 x 500g packet spaghetti, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 2 x 410g tins chopped tomatoes, 500g cooked and chopped pork sausages, 1 tsp dried origanum, 1 tsp dried chilli flakes (optional), grated parmesan and fresh basil

Method: Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside. In a saucepan, fry the garlic in a little olive oil, add the tomatoes, sausages, origanum and chilli flakes. Cook for about 15 minutes until the sauce thickens a bit. Season, top with the Parmesan and basil, and enjoy.
