Local author pulls the trigger, and connects

The Legacy is a dystopia book, written by a very talented local writer, and I must say, bringing forth poignant reactions throughout The Legacy.

Books: The Legacy

Author: Melissa Delport

Publisher: Tracey McDonald Publishers

The writer destroys America – literally, during World War Three, which lasted 12 days.

Through Delport’s take on a future-set Totalitarian society, she creates a resistance movement that relies on the hero, Rebecca Davis (protagonist), who is, impressively a female, with a strong will, but sometimes naïve and conceited in how she approaches her family.

The manner in which she approaches in taking down the man, Eric Dane, who is the “saviour” of the people, yet also the one who controls society, is sometimes questionable.

Dane is also her husband.

Her beauty is also a characteristic that draws many men to her, but there is one that holds her heart. Rebecca also has a secret, and Dane doesn’t know, and her secret is what will set them free.

This book is filled with new plots and twists, somewhat predictable, but enjoyable.

Looking forward to climbing into the sequel, The Legion.

Book three in The Legacy trilogy will be released early 2015. @BoksburgNews
