25 bullets fired during Highflats family massacre

Three women, a man, and three children of the Khambule family were killed in their living room.

Twenty-five bullets were fired during the murder of seven Khambule family members who were killed execution-style in Highflats, KZN, last night.

KZN police commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi said evidence showed that some of the family members were shot in the head while lying on the floor.

He added that three women (aged 35, 38, and 55), a 48-year-old man and three children (aged five, 11 and 12) are among the dead. Their bodies were found lying in a pool of blood inside a living room.
