1 dead, 3 injured in Western Cape shooting

A man is due to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court tomorrow in connection with the shooting of four people.

One person was killed and three others injured in a shooting at a shisanyama in KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay, on Saturday night.

KwaNonqaba Police Station spokesperson Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp confirmed the incident and said a 26-year-old man died after being shot multiple times.

He was declared dead at the scene by emergency medical services.

Kapp says three other men were also shot and rushed to Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital in serious condition.

He says a 43-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and is facing a charge of murder and three charges of attempted murder.

The man is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
