Action to be taken over alleged child abuse at KZN home

MEC Mbali Shinga paid a visit to the Aryan Benevolent Home Child and Youth Care Centre after allegations were made against workers.

KZN Social Development MEC Mbali Shinga visited the Aryan Benevolent Home Child and Youth Care Centre (ABH CYCC) in Durban yesterday, in response to recent allegations of child abuse taking place at the children’s home.

Fresh allegations have surfaced claiming that a group of children residing at the ABH CYCC have suffered at the hands of their care workers.

During her visit, Shinga outlined a series of measures that the Department of Social Development will implement in response to these allegations.
