Child pornography case: Man (25) to appear in Mossel Bay court

Several explicit child pornography images, mostly showing acts with toddler girls, were reportedly found on his cellphone.

A 25-year-old man, accused of possessing about 48 explicit child pornography images, is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay District Court tomorrow.

The police’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Mossel Bay arrested the man at his home in the suburb of Da Nova, on February 2.

Child pornography photographs, mostly showing acts with toddler girls, were allegedly found on the man’s cellphone.

He last appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court on May 3, when he was denied bail, and he remains behind bars.

On that day the case was adjourned for further investigation until tomorrow.
