Woman (57) shot and killed in Bedfordview
Police officers patrolling an Ekurhuleni town came across a woman’s body in a car.
The body of a 57-year-old woman was found inside a car on the corner of Van Der Linde and Smith roads in Bedfordview on Friday.
According to Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Lillian Modiga, officers came across the body at 21:11.
“Police officers were doing patrols when they saw the car parked on the island.
“[When] inspecting the car, they realised the passenger window had bullet holes and there was a white woman inside.
“They checked the woman and found that she had been shot,” says Modiga.
The woman was certified dead by paramedics and her body was transported to the nearest mortuary.
A case of murder was opened.
Bedfordview SAPS urges anyone with information linked to the murder to come forward.
