VIDEO: Skeletal remains found in KwaZulu-Natal construction site

Police have temporarily suspended construction at the site.

Skeletal remains have been uncovered at a construction site in eMdloti, KwaZulu-Natal, on Thursday morning.

According to Marshall Security’s spokesperson, Tyron Powell, officers from the company were called out to a construction site on North Beach Road just after 10.30am.

“Reports from the scene indicated that while construction workers were working on site they discovered the skeleton remains of a human body,” he said.

“The SAPS were immediately contacted. The construction site has been put on halt by the SAPS until they have completed their investigation,” Powell added.

This is the second time skeletal remains have been found in eMdloti, in 2014 police found the remains of what they believed to be a homeless man on Bellamont Road.
