The Every Action Reacts To History (E.A.R.T.H) music group rendered a stunning music performance during their live show at Freedom Park on recently.
“The show was amazing. I am blown away,” an audience member, Phumelele Milazi told Rekord.
She said she attended the E.A.R.T.H show for the first time and has no regrets.
“I feel like they are magic,” she said.
Milazi said her friend told her about the show and she decided to attend.
“When the group performs you can feel their music, understand their story and relate to it because they mean what they say.”
She said the members of the group were not just singing but they were singing from their souls.
One of the leaders of the group Lesego Montsho said she was pleased with their performance and a good turnout.
“I think the performance went well. I had fun on the stage and enjoyed myself,” Montsho said.
Although executing perfect dance moves that take a lot of hours to master, the group is adamant to tell stories of people who died fighting for freedom.
“On stage I lose myself because I embodied the stories I am telling. The stories we are telling are it a bit difficult. We are speaking about people who fought and laid down their lives for our country,” she said citing they pay particular attention to heroes and heroines from Pretoria who were not often spoken about.
Another founder of the group Kabelo Sibanyoni said their music were not available in various music platforms currently due to lack of recording.
“Our music can at the moment be heard at our live performances.”
The local group is no stranger to live performances. Since it was formed in 2017, it had performed in various shows including major events such as the Smoking Dragon festival in Drakensberg.
Its music consists of various genres such as Afro jazz and Afro pop.
