Fathers deserve special treatment as they play a big role in their children’s lives, and what better way to celebrate them than through a craft festival.
Chapters Restaurant, part of the Leriba Hotel Group in Clubview, Centurion treated fathers to a tapas lunch braai buffet accompanied by a craft gin, beer, whisky and rum tasting experience.
Leriba marketing coordinator Lara Lourens said this was the third Father’s day Craft Festival.
Guests were treated to classical music and great food from a special menu.

“Today’s menu was specifically prepared to complement the craft beers, gin, whisky and rum,” said senior chef Conrad Siebrits.
The menu comprised freshly baked bread, a salad bar and a variety of meats such as braised brisket and pork belly prepared in open fires.
The restaurant is tucked away in the lush indigenous gardens, giving guests an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature.

“It is a perfect place to spend Father’s day because the environment is relaxing. We left our two kids to come and enjoy the crafts that the festival has to offer,” said Wouter Potgieter.
Those who missed out can experience the nice vibe that the restaurant has to offer by attending the Symphony Orchestra in the Gardens on Sunday, 24 June and Bastille day on 14 July.

“The Pretoria Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Schalk van der Merwe, will perform light classical favourites,” said Lourens, adding that guests would be treated to a free wine tasting.
Some of the craft at the festival were: Cederberg Brewery Craft Beer, CBC Craft Beer, Toast Lager, Wolf Trap Wineries, Boschkloof Wine, Mother’s Ruin, Silver Creek Gin Quality Distilleries Craft Vodka, Whisky and Gin.
