VIDEO: Centurion songstress aims for stardom

“I would like to be a superstar someday, but for now I’m enjoying being a local Centurion girl.”

Centurion music sensation Bianca Blanc (19) shot her first ever music video at the Railways Café in Irene on Friday, 8 June.

This shoot was for her new single, ‘All my life’ which is expected to hit the radio waves on 22 June.

For the past year, she opened for Elvis Blue, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Monark, Jesse Clegg, Matthew Mole, the comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout and Opposite the Other, among others.

Bianca is currently using every opportunity to share her music with new fans, performing on stages both big and small and at festivals countrywide.

Bianca has collaborated with Cooper College’s Glee children’s choir on the new single.

Bianca signed to the South African independent music recording label Just Music in 2017.

Melanie van der Walt, who works with the recording label, said this track is sure to ignite something with music lovers with its children’s chorus and the catchy yet simple lyrics.

“We feel strongly about this shoot and the story that Bianca wants to share with the public on her success since the release of her first single,” said van der Walt.

Bianca told Rekord she is very happy to be following her dream and the recording label for believing in her talent.

This local teenager joined Just Music after they discovered her during a live acoustic sessions project earlier this year.

‘Butterflies’ (her first single) was also picked up by campus stations as well as 947, Jacaranda, Groot FM, Radio 2000 and RSG.

Van der Walt said: “We are very lucky to have Bianca on our team. She is hardworking and we are here to make sure she gets the support she needs.”

She describes Bianca as a multi-talented artist who writes her own songs in both English and Afrikaans and plays both the guitar and ukulele.

“She is a true musician.”
