Maze Runner: The Death Cure is directed by Wes Ball, He is best known for the direction of 2014 film The Maze Runner, based on James Dashner’s novel. Ball also directed the sequel, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, which opened in theatres on 18 September 2015.
“It’s the world of WKCD, the last city left standing. WCKD has built, essentially, the same maze walls around it and surrounding the city to protect this core group of people that are just trying to survive the flare virus. They are looking for safety, a cure, whatever,” says Ball.

Our very own South African actor Drikus Volschenk features in this film as the villain, Volschenk is known for Jagveld (2017), Skin (2008) and For the Birds (2016).
