The Stone Cradle restaurant hosted an exquisite cake-and-wine tasting on Sunday afternoon.
The day included a fashion sale and an exhibition of Porsches by the Porsche Club of SA as part of their breakfast run.
The event was a partnership between isiGidi Fashion, I Am, Stone Cradle and Divine Delights Cake Boutique and Wandsbeck Wines.
From moist dark chocolate cake and red velvet, to peanut butter cake and old favourites like milk tart, guests could more than have their fill.
The accompanying sauvignon blanc, rosé and merlot were perfect additions to the sweet delights.
The joy the cake brought could be seen on the faces of the younger children as they dug in, smearing the chocolate all over their faces with not a care in the world.
Gerda van Schalkwyk of isiGidi Fashion said: “I love fashion, and getting together with my friends to have a glass of wine and good food. It made sense for us to combine all of these into one event.”
The perfect weather, picturesque location and music by The Barbosa Experience made the afternoon that much more special.
Guests spent the afternoon chatting, drinking wine and enjoyingg in the finer things in life with the best view of the beautiful Rietvlei dam as their backdrop.
