Get ready for a tribute to some of the greatest rock and roll music of our time.

The Rolling Stones vs Tina Turner is about showmanship, charisma and music, all of which will come together in one big concert which will simply blow your mind.

Mick Jagger is an English musician, singer-songwriter and one time actor, who is best known for being the lead vocalist and one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones.

Tina Turner is a singer, dancer, actress and author, whose career has spanned more than half a century, earning her widespread recognition and numerous awards.

The show features a 10-piece-cast and is fronted by Duck Chowles as Mick Jagger and Sam Tirivacho as Tina Turner.

Both salute the music and the outrageous personalities of these two iconic performers.

The show kicks off in the ’60s, with songs like Time is on my side, Honky Tonk Women, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Paint it Black, River Deep Mountain High and Nutbush City Limits to name but a few.

It then moves on to the ’70s and ’80s with songs like Brown Sugar, Proud Mary, Angie, Private Dancer, What’s love got to do with it, Start me up and many more.

Rolling Stones vs Tina Turner will take to the stage at The Barnyard Theatre, Emperors Palace, on March 28, at 8pm.

Meet ‘Mick Jagger’

As previously mentioned, Duck Chowles plays Mick Jagger in Rolling Stones vs Tina Turner.

Chowles resides in Boksburg and is the co-owner of The Barnyard Group.

He has produced and compiled every Barnyard show since 2000.

Chowles has performed as Mick Jagger for the past 25 years and have done countless shows.

He is also doing a Beatles show where he performs as John Lennon which is one of his favourite performances.

Chowles said that his favourite song featured in Rolling Stones vs Tina Turner is Sympathy for the devil.

“This music is everlasting, so anybody with a bit of adventure in their hearts ?will enjoy this show,” said Chowles.

“The show is a celebration of the Rolling Stones and Tina Turner – theses two music genres work perfectly together and appeals to all ages, but it is not a Dolly Parton-Kenny Rodgers show.”

Chowles have just completed a tour in the Eastern Cape.

His future plans are to keep The Barnyard Theatres supplied with new exciting shows.
