The struggle for the Iron Throne has begun

The much-awaited Season 4 of Game of Thrones is almost here.

The Emmy Award-winning drama series returns to DSTV’s channel 101, on Friday, April 18, at 9.30pm, shortly after its US premiere on Sunday, April 6.

Based on the best selling fantasy book series by George Martin, Game of Thrones is an epic story of treachery and nobility set on the continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years, and only the lust for power is eternal.

The series is also executive produced by David Benioff, DB Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernie Caulfield. Martin is among the co-executive producers.

A large part of Season Four’s storyline will be based on the second half of Martin’s A Storm of Swords, the third in his A Song of Ice and Fire series.
