DavezMirror will musically heal the virus

He hopes his song will motivate and comfort many, but most importantly, instill a positive healthy state of mind during this difficult time.

As part of his contribution to flatten the curve of the Covid-19, a local RnB artist has written a song and is calling on other artists for a collaboration.

Camacho Magagula, 33, popularly known as DavezMirror, wrote a song titled, ‘We Are’ and reckons it will help in fighting the pandemic.

He describes music as a language that sends a certain message across the globe and reaches deep into humanity.

He hopes the song will motivate and comfort many, but most importantly, instill a positive healthy state of mind during this difficult time.

“It’s about the spirit, mind, humanity and a positive approach in dealing with the Covid-19. Various countries are in solidarity and are speaking in one voice which symbolizes unity, strength and hope in the fight against the pandemic,” he said.

Although he is from a religious family, he was inspired by groups such as Westlife, BoyzIIMen, All for One and many others, hence he chose a different genre after he was taught to play the piano by a pastor which added as a bonus to his music.

“My life has been a musical journey. The music industry is broad, which is why musicians need to be versatile. It’s not a racecourse, but being unique and discovering your own sound.”
