WATCH: Local sports fanatics keep fit despite Lockdown

There’s nothing that can stop these five local sports fanatics from keeping fit.

MBOMBELA- With the National Lockdown and its regulations, most people are expected to stay home.

Not all is lost for some sportsmen and women as they are working out in the comfort of their homes.

Here are some who shared their thoughts and how they are adjusting to the Lockdown. Check out their videos:

Netball player, Lentsamang Motau:

It is difficult because your whole routine is thrown off so that means you’ll need more discipline. Make sure you keep fit by setting a schedule and make sure you follow it.

Comrades Marathon runner, Moeketsi ‘The Force’ Mazibuko:

Although it was not easy in the beginning because I’m used to waking and going the gym. My change of attitude made it easy for me to start enjoy working out from home. This period also gives me time to bond with my wife and children when they join me for sessions.

Rugby player, Jason Mabuza:

Working out alone is a bit boring for me but I admit that I am more focused. I can feel the difference in my body because I follow the routine daily.

Soccer player, Junior Makhubela:

It has been difficult because I do not have all the equipment needed I feel restricted by not being allowed to leave the yard. I have adapted make use of what is available and continue have training so that when the season resumes, I am fit.

Rugby and hockey player, Kgopotso Sedibe:

Working out at home has not been easy, because I have gotten so familiar with the gym. But despite it all, we have to keep going and control our mindsets. Let’s a make an effort to put in the work to keep fit even in the hardest time.
