“Our company, among its objectives, is to develop the girl-child educationally, socially, emotionally and it also espouses to protect them against perpetrators of the much avowed “blesser-blessee” relationships that have destroyed the future livelihoods of young women across the country and beyond. “We must also emphasize the fact that our sponsors, the provincial government through the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator (MER) have scored tremendous accolades from the vast communities across the province for the sterling role our crowned queens continue to play in having established cells in all the 17 Local Municipalities in the province tackling this scourge, including motivating girl-children in the province against dropping out of school – this has garnered tremendous success since 2013 and its growing stronger by the day.”

“It is on those grounds that we, as a company, in association with MER, that we are not acting judgmentally on this matter pertaining the allegations leveled against Sjava but we’re allowing justice to take its course, a matter which may take long beyond the scheduled performance, which is 18 April 2020, whereby, Sjava could absolve himself.”

“We also are disappointed at the fact that Sjava had been targeted at by us as a draw card for the said event, but because of the backlash that we anticipate within the current circumstances, it may affect our event and the objectives we stand for in society. We have, therefore, taken a decision to request a refund for the performance fee as we have already paid it out in full to his management,” she concluded.
