Through the grapevine: claim only what is yours

The MEC for social development, Thandi Shongwe, deserves the blooper of the week award for being too attached to the electronic media at the provincial legislature's last sitting last Friday.

Can someone please tell politicians in 2020 that other mediums of media besides radio and television are important too, to disseminate their messages?

The MEC for social development, Thandi Shongwe, deserves the blooper of the week award for being too attached to the electronic media at the provincial legislature’s last sitting last Friday.

Mhlonishwa, why would you keep on referring to the speaker as “Msakati” more than once and make an excuse that you were busy with radio interviews the whole morning? It seemed some of the honourable members found the “error” humorous. Well, it really was not funny, not at all!

Also, why did some of you have to personalize Zozibini Tunzi’s crowning moment this week? We do not really need answers, but we have something to say. Repeat after us: Suka-ni-ema-bho-zeni! Some things should just be left as is. Congratulatory messages are fine, but claiming to have contributed to people’s victories is taking it a bit too far. Let us serve and stay in our lanes, just until the year ends.

Just for clarity, are we still forced to see people wearing shades at indoor events? Haai nina, y’all seriously look ridiculous!

Have a great week ahead and remember to only claim what is yours.

May the force be with you!
