Traditional Music Festival to rock Nkomazi this weekend

Are you a fan of Maskandi and traditional music?

If so, save the date with DJ Vuna and his friends for a fun-filled traditional music festival to be held at KaMondlane Stadium in Block B, Nkomazi on November 2.

The festival is brought to you by Nkomazi-born champ, DJ Vuna, real name Johannes Ndzukula, a local Maskandi artist who made a hit when he released his two albums last year, Kwazulu-Natal and Uyashada.

He again dropped a hit this year when he released another two albums, Nakurandza nkata, which simply means “I love you, baby”, and Kumnandzi eMpumalanga.

The owner of Vuna Studio is promising his fans nothing less than the best festival ever, with the cream of Maskandi artists from this province and others.

“We are bringing bigger artists, including the likes of Shwi Nomtekhala, Elias Baloyi, Make Shelangubo, the Mamba Queens and many more, to entertain fans with their various traditional songs in various languages. Fans must come prepared to dance the night away with us,” he said.

Ndzukula added that fans will be able to meet their favourite radio personalities from Ligwalagwala FM, Munghana Lonene and other radio stations. “My aim is to entertain the people of the province, which is my home province. They must be happy, because I love them, and this is my favourite province with so much beauty in it,” he said.

Tickets are available at R120 each at Computicket, Shoprite Checkers, House & Home, OK and U-Save.

The organisers of the event said arrangements have been made with law enforcers to ensure the safety of both fans and artists. Fans are allowed to bring along their cooler boxes.
