Duo bigs it up in Amapiano
They started producing music together in 2016, which helped them to want to do more music, as Kabelo dabbled as a vocalist and DJ, and Katlego in producing.
Newtone Major X Biggy K, Kabelo and Katlego, artists from Pretoria, visited Mbombela last Thursday to promote their new single.
The duo started producing music after they realised they had a passion for it. They called themselves the Newtone Major X Biggy K. They have taken on the new music buzz, the Amapiano music genre.
Their love for music began back in their childhood days, as they always wanted and loved to entertain people around them when growing up. Their music is also registered with the South African Music Rights Organisation. “We have released a single this year on August 31 and our music video was released on October 11, which will also be available in eDigital platforms,” said Kabelo.

They started getting bookings to perform at nightclubs and events. “We have worked with different artists in the music industry, and shared a stage with Mafikizolo and Versa Teez. Being booked in different places has helped us grow and gain exposure and inspiration to make more tracks, which will entertain more people,” said Katlego.
As it is, the duo have gained self confidence and music fans have started noticing them. Through their music, they have finally found their passion. Watch this space!
