Through the grapevine

We must put it out there that the Lowveld was alive and lit with the Art of Legends Picnic Concert at the Botanical Gardens last weekend.

The month of September was interesting and fun, but at least we are over Heritage Month now.

The events that took place revealed some people’s real characters, including title-holders and organisers in general. Let us not talk about the “nut chewing competition” at the Heritage Fest, hosted by the Nkomazi Local Municipality. One would swear some had not eaten in weeks.

Moving right along, we must put it out there that the Lowveld was alive and lit with the Art of Legends Picnic Concert at the Botanical Gardens. Emotions were triggered when Stimela performed, but the band gave it their all and had the crowd getting down.

Sam Ndlovu and the backing vocalists killed it! Let us not forget Tshepo Tshola’s performance with Reshen and Mbongeni Ngema. To be honest, it was one of the best music concerts Mbombela has had this year. Not that we are against others, but if you were there, you would agree.

It was really unnecessary to make some announcements on stage; not that it killed our vibe. Next time, let performers entertain people without making certain individuals feel like they breathe strawberry oxygen.

Have a great week ahead and remember to make the best of everything daily.

May the force be with you!
