Through the grapevine: Let love find you

Shisa Nyama's resident DJ, Nia Louw surprised locals on Date My Family last week.

Who would have thought churches would up their levels in 2019? Watching a 44-year-old bachelor searching for Mrs Right on TV was one of our highlights for the week.

There were hilarious moments when Zigidi Nene visited his potential date’s family and friends, but the Barberton crew representing Dudu Shongwe gave Twitter a reason to throw shade. Where do we join Dudu’s church, bafwethu? It seems there is serious recruitment taking place there. Yes, one of the ladies introduced herself as a church colleague. Levels mchana!

As if that was not enough, Shisa Nyama’s resident DJ, Nia Louw, surprised locals. It’s a pity she friend-zoned u-Ma Million during their date, but it really would not have worked. Imagine u-DJ brewing umqobothi and trading her vinyls for farming tools. Ha!

Nonetheless it was a funny episode with a few bummer moments, not forgetting how savage Nia was, but at least the bachelor found its way back to one of the rejected potentials. We wish them all the best.

Guyzin, supporting local brands is good, but some seem to be obsessed with their Bathu Mesh Edition sneakers. No lies told, they are one of the most comfy kicks, but to rock them at every event… Majita, you’ve been great self-appointed brand ambassadors, but it really isn’t fair to neglect the other pairs of shoes you own. But at the end of the day, it’s your moolah. We just had to say it.

Have a great weekend, and remember that love isn’t something you find. It finds you.

May the force be with you!
