‘Tis the season to love local

The Nabalabantfu picnic takes place at Ebukhosini Resort in Mzinti on December 15.

It is the season to be jolly and Nabalabantfu Entertainment brings the very best kind of fun with the 7th Annual Nabalabantfu Picnic.

Although the event is topped with “the
new dawn” line-up; that includes rapper and songwriter, Nadia Nakai, Gemini Major and R&B singer, Tshego as the main acts; it boasts 95% strictly local artists from the Ehlanzeni District, with six upcoming artists who have never performed at big events before.

Resident musos have the opportunity to showcase their talent to greater markets. Nabalabanfu’s Delani Mofokeng says the aim of the picnic is to entertain and empower locals at the same time.

“It is back to basics and bringing back all the great entertainment and fun to the people of Nkomazi.
In line with our mission and plan to empower young local entrepreneurs, we are giving away 15 stall spots to those in the arts-and-crafts sector on the day.Our line-up being majority local artists as supporting acts also shows that we love local. There is no way one can miss this.”
