MBOMBELA – The auditions take place on December 6 at the Protea Highveld Hotel in Emalahleni and on December 7 at the Emnotweni Sun Hotel in Mbombela, from 10:00 to 17:00 at both venues.
According to the organisers, Mzimari Productions, strict criteria will be enforced on young women between the ages of 18 and 24.
Among the qualities and requirements for eligibility to enter are:
• They must be at least 1,6 metres tall
• They must be residents of Mpumalanga
• They must have a minimum qualification of grade 12 and above
• No contestant will be allowed to enter or proceed if found with a tattoo anywhere on her body
• They must bring with a full length, clear, recent photo of themselves, and a recent portrait photo
• Must produce a copy of a certified South African ID.
So far, Mzimari Productions has crowned the following queens: Mpumi Lephoko from Mbombela (2011), Lungile Libambo from Steve Tshwete (2012), Ntandoyenkosi Kunene from Mkhondo (2013), Natasha dos Santos from Mbombela (2014), Zamanene Nene from Lekwa (2015), Elaine Mkhabela from Mbombela (2016), Geraldine Williams from Pixley ka Seme (2017) and Vanessa Hollenbach (2018).
Miss Mpumalanga 2019 will be crowned in April next year.
