Dr Tumi to mesmerise during Gospel Explosion

A Gospel Explosion certainly awaits the people of the province for having continuously supported the Mpumalanga Comes Alive (Mpuca) event since its inception in 2009.

MBOMBELA – The thank-you gesture from the organisers will be held on Sunday at Church on The Hill (Coth) in KaMagugu. It will boast the who’s who of gospel music.

Dr Tumi with his new single, “Wafika,” will be one of the artists who will perform during the 10th anniversary of Mpuca.

The legendary Sipho Makhabane, the evergreen Sipho Ngwenya and Zaza Mokhethi will be accompanied by one of Mpumalanga’s rising stars, Gershom Ntimane.

Ntimane was born in Bushbuckridge and grew up in Mkhuhlu. In 2010, after he survived a terrible car accident on his way from seeing his firstborn son.
He spent most of his time healing in hospital and writing songs to praise God for his second chance at life. He then started a band called Flavoured Melody in December 2010.
The group has gone from singing together in churches to performing in different concerts across the country as an Afro-jazz group.

In 2013 Ntimane recorded a live DVD with Flavoured Melody called Ever Since I Met You, on which he featured DJ Ganyane and Jeff Maluleke. He is currently recording a gospel album, The Jesus I Have Touched, which will be launched in September.

The album is brand new and fresh, inspired by Bishop Benjamin Dube and Marvin Sapp Ministries.

The Coth band is billed to perform at the Gospel Explosion as well. What better way to celebrate the 10th-anniversary milestone?

The organiser, Thabo Sekele said, “We are including the Gospel Explosion in our programme to recognise the diversity of music in Mpumalanga, to strengthen intercultural ties and offer gospel music lovers an opportunity to come together for an evening of worship and praise.”

The Gospel Explosion will be the epitome of Mpuca 2018, which will open the week of festivities with a high note of prayer and blessings for all the Mpuca activities that will take place throughout the week.
He also encouraged people to get tickets to this exclusive gospel night, as they are limited.
