Dr Tumi concert tickets selling like hot cakes

Dr Tumi, who is also a medical doctor, is one of the most sought-after songwriters for contemporary gospel in South Africa and has written songs for a number of gospel artists.

GOSPEL enthusiasts from various provinces are expected to have a “private spiritual conversation” with Dr Tumi during the All-White Worship and Praise in Concert with Dr Tumi event to be held at Graceland Hotel & Casino in Secunda, Mpumalanga on 25 August.

This will be the day when renowned gospel music sensation Dr Tumisang Makweya, who is affectionately known as Dr Tumi, will be healing and restoring fans’ souls by performing his best-known songs at this majestic resort which is conveniently located off the N17 highway, in Secunda – an hour from the East Rand, and 90 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

The event which is organised by Bruce Kgapane’s Ziyaphenduka Marketing and Events in collaboration with Graceland Hotel & Casino, has long been on the wish list of many gospel fans for the gifted songwriter par excellence who is graced with in season melodies that flow from the throne.

He is without a doubt the architect of a new phenomenon in gospel music. Fresh from celebrating the success of his first album, Love and Grace, that racked over 12 awards and went double platinum, the psalmist is now enjoying the success of his latest album, Heart of the King. Within a few weeks of its release, the album had gone gold by selling more than 15 000 units.

Kgapane said tickets sales have opened and they were going at an unprecedented rate.
“I appeal to fans to grab their tickets as soon as possible because the venue can only accept a limited number of fans. Few things are more frustrating to a music fan than hearing that a favourite award-winning artist is coming to town, only to find out that the show is sold out,” warned Kgapane.

Tickets for the All-White Worship and Praise in Concert with Dr Tumi are available for R250 at Computicket, Shoprite, Checkers and selected outlets including churches.
