Through the grapevine

The bootylicious and curvy Kalawa Chikita Busiswa was dressed all in black and quite decently. Pity some of our local girls think less is sexy, even on cold winter nights.

We are aware that thick is the new sexy, however, that’s not what we came across at News Café last Friday.

Let us not talk about their make-up! It’s difficult to even recognise them. One would swear their faces were dipped in mud. Ladies, go easy on the make-up, and find a suitable colour for your complexion.

Are Carvela shoes still appropriate to wear, especially at night? Y’all really freak the living daylights out of patrons in those shoes and Nike caps. Yes, we hid our bags and phones. Would you blame us? We really think dress code policies should be reintroduced at these joints around the city for safety purposes. We can’t be turning up and at the same time looking over our shoulders when we see a guy dressed in Carvelas and Uzzi sweaters.

Ultimate House Party winner, Material Don Dada and his crew actually looked cooler than the weather in their DMD gear, but to be honest, they looked bored. Truth is, there are less of Izikhotane in Mbombela and they had no relevant audience to interact with, but at least they were kept company by this cool white chick we’ve spotted in the past weeks. Who is she vele? We’re interested, and we like her.

One more thing; whoever stole Nick Soul’s phones at Shisa Nyama on Sunday, return them to the owner.

Have a great weekend and remember this, make-up or no make-up, you’ll remain the same person inside.

May the force be with you!
