Through the grapevine: Good riddance to the last week of June- Youth Month!

This has been the worst month since the beginning of the year. But not as bad as seeing amagugesta in school uniform. We shall never forget!

Well, here are a few suggestions – some from our readers – for next year’s Youth Month celebrations:

• The uniform trend on June 16 should be left behind. Why? It only suits
certain people.

• For the tjatjarag ones, if you decide to wear a school dress or skirt, make it a point that it’s the correct length.

• Razor cut and school uniform bandla! Know what it makes us think of? High school slay queens who repeated most grades and blamed their ignorance on educators. It’s nothing personal, just an observation.

• Can those older than 35 take themselves serious next year for a change? Think of yourselves as the Mufasas and let the Simbas roar in peace. Mind sharing some of the tenders with them next June?

Akenisibhalansise ke, don’t we have young prominent individuals from the province who can motivate young people as part of Youth Month?
Uzalo’s Mastermind may be smoking hot but we also have the likes of Chafzar owner Ndumiso, former Miss SA Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, Mpumi Mbethe and many more. It seem provincial government has its priorities all mixed up. Isende lendlela
for sure!

Have a great weekend and remember this: Youth is the gift of nature. But age is the work of art. May the force be with you!
