Designers to showcase their recent collection
The exhibition will starts from 17:30 and the show starts from 19: 00 until late.
Emnotweni Arena will be colourfully painted this Saturday as African designers will be showcasing their colourful African Contemporary designs.This marks the third year annual fashion event for designers from different parts of Africa.
“This is all about hand works where crafters and designers from the county and other African countries will market their products,” explains Mandla Hlophe of Malengs designs, organisers of the show in partnership with the department of Sports Culture and Recreation.

“We invite people to come, view, support ,celebrate Africa month and our identity through fashion. Products will also be sold at reasonable prices, ” he adds.
Known designers including AfrikanSwiss, Black coffee, Emjays Fashion, Blue Mouse, Nompumeleleo, Rubicon, Liz Ogumbo from Kenya, Esnoko from Zambia and be amongst the many designers to showcase their outfits, accessories and other products.
According to Miss Jabu Dlamini from the department of Sports Culture and Recreation Hlophe was part of the department’s extended public works projects where he was nurtured in his scope of work in events which had since become a business for him.
” Our motto is that we don’t want job seekers we create an enabling environment for young people to be employers and to be globally recognized” she says.
