Locals to look out for in 2018

We have listed our favourite local young people making waves on social media, in politics, beauty, fashion and entertainment.

Last year was incredibly good, a successful one for many local lasses and chaps. With that said, Mpumalanga is definitely on the map!

Here are locals to look out for in 2018:

Thabang Mashile – This poet and writer was recently named the new face of Legit. She is involved in multiple community projects in Mbombela. We’re sure she’ll clinch another deal as she is sizzling hot.

Reshen Nkala – He’s graced many events, mesmerising crowds with his soulful voice. Like many, he has his resolutions, one of which is filling up Mbombela Stadium. We know Kaizer Chiefs fill up the 43 500-seater venue,
not that we doubt you, but it would be great for this sleepy city. All the best mfana!

Mpumi Mbethe – The RISE FM breakfast-show co-host is one to follow on social media. We think she’s an interesting character and inspiration to young women. Check her out on the reality television series, Future Leaders on Tuesdays. By the way, we love your #English101Lesson on Facebook, Madam Oga.

Ronald Lamola – The former ANC Youth League leader was elected as an ANC National Executive Committee member last December and is one of three newcomers to the Media Development and Diversity Agency board. He is a lawyer and runs his own practice. Some comrades could learn a thing or two from this guy.
