MBOMBELA – Rapper, producer and hit-maker Senzo Villakazi, popularly known as Kwesta, says he is feeling amazing about his five nominations at the SAMA’s. It is clear that his mark in the music industry is significant. He chats with us.
You are nominated five times; how do you feel?
The feeling is amazing. It means people are recognising the music and at this point it is just God’s work.
Tell us about your hit single, Ngiyazi fela Ngawe?
The people received the song well because it came from an honest place. Therefore, people can relate and appreciate the song. They said it was too soft coming from me but the it carried a message and that is that.
What can your fans expect from you ahead of the SAMA’s?
I will just be me the whole time. It clearly is God’s time and let everything happen accordingly. I am back in studio that is what they need to know and I never stop making music.
Are you promoting your nominations to your fans?
Definitely, I also rally my fans on my shows as well.
How do you handle pressure?
To be honest, it is outside my control. I just let God handle everything.
