Through the grapevine

The city's nightlife seems to be taking off and we are getting into the groove of things, which gives us "Grapeviners" a chance and follow local celebs and socialites.

A memorial lecture on Solomon Mahlangu was hosted at Dream South Business Lounge.
No offence but they took way too long with the engagements and all that blabbing, although the movie premiere was great.

It felt like those Johannesburg red-carpet events.  Well, apart from those who decided to show up dressed in heels and suits making the rest of us look like we had attended the wrong event, it was worth showing up.

So the movie started a bit late due to some technicalities and can you believe what abo comrade did?
They belted out freedom songs. We understand you are all about democracy and freedom of speech and that our forefathers fought for equality, but that place is called a cinema!

Can we have a bit of order and follow protocol next time maqabane. Oh and trailers are meant to showcase the latest movie releases. Please don’t sing during trailers, assesblief tog.

On a lighter and kinder note, a big shout out to Miss Mpumalanga 2017, Geraldine Williams. We attended her welcoming luncheon last Friday and what a heartwarming speech she gave. She is the chosen one and surely will represent the province well.

It is the Easter weekend and we only hope and pray we all make it back to work in one piece. Drive safe, do not drink and drive and be blessed.
