Lack of transport fee forced three basketball teams not to participate in the second leg of the Female Basketball League 2017

Speaking to this publication, Swekie Mamba said a lack of good sponsors was a serious problem for the teams.
“Some of our players come from disadvantaged families. Some times it’s very hard for them to raise transport fee. Such challenges are not going to discourage us as we are determined to take this sport to another level, especially when it comes to recruiting more girls,” said Mamba.
