Jam Session to invade Swaziland

Blu Lamp, a five-member band from the City of Tshwane with vocalist, Reshen are the talk of Mbombela, and this weekend they are invading Swaziland.

Do you believe in The Jam? It’s obvious that many believe in the Casambo Jam Sessions as it’s all over social media, growing bigger and better.

Bassist, Walter Msiza reckons being part of The Jam has enabled them to grow as a band. “The Jam Session is a concept that Banele Zondo, an artist from eMalahleni came up with and with the grace of Carol Sanderson and husband, Lloyd Sambo, it became a reality.

It’s given us an opportunity to unleash other aspects, our album, Thanksgiving, will be launched in March, we get to mentor locals and help them with basics, but mostly we appreciate the support from Mpumalanga, ” says Msiza.

The Jam Session takes place on the last Sunday of every month at Casambo Guest Lodge. Local artists are given an opportunity to showcase their talents and for artists to exhibit their creations. With The Jam’s first-ever gig at The George Hotel in Swaziland, they promise fans a night to remember.

Reshen says it will be like a “love-at-first-sight” scenario just as it was the first time he met members of the band some years ago in Gauteng. “This weekend is going to be lit! Watch out for the surprise we have and remember this is the first Jam we’re hosting in 2017, so there’s so much in store. I’m excited and I’m looking forward to give my all, I owe it to my fans,” he says excitedly.
