Mpumalanga comes alive this weekend.
Only one day left before the eigth edition of the Mpumalanga Comes Alive (MPU), the line-up has the best of what the country has to offer from Nasty C - who dropped his long-awaited album last week - to the sultry Babes Wodumo, Ricky Rick, Black Motion, Afrotraction and Vusi Nova.
Mbombela Stadium will have a double-header on October 1 with the MTN Cup Final at 17:00 and MPU’s gates open after the MTN Cup final at 19:00, until the wee hours of the morning. The entrance is free, mahala, and VIP at an affordable rate of R650.
Speaking to Thabo Sekele, “I encourage all Mpumalanga people to come witness a jam-packed afternoon of fun, we will only open our gates at 19:00 to allow the MTN Cup Final then the MPU programme will resume immediately after the game.”
Like in the past, MPU promises to dazzle its patrons with an action-packed and entertainment galore programme throughout the weekend. The weekend will start at Cappuccinos, I’langa Mall tomorrow with Lulo Cafe, Fiztaz Mixwell, DJ Ocean, Trevor Dee, Lerato Kganyago – Metro FM, PH.
The talented Ligwalagwala FM personalities will host the events for the weekend. The Afternoon Drive host Shabbisto, fresh and energetic Willia Da Voice, sultry and fashionista KhayaAngel, the evergreen Lungile Mhango and the talented Sweetmike will form part of the line-up.
The weekend will wind up with the all-white Sunday session which will be hosted at Dream South Lounge in Valencia.
The venue will be transformed into an amphitheatre of soul and RnB with a strong line-up led by Afrotraction, Vusi Nova, Jay Spitter, Sweetmike and Pressure &AJ. The talented musicians from Casterbridge Music Development Academy, Versatile, Expresso and Blue Magic will showcase their pizzazz as well.
Speaking to the young artists, they said, “We are honoured to perform at such a renowned event and share our talent with the people of Mpumalanga”.
